Dr Sam Roberts graduated with Distinction in Clinical Dentistry from Newcastle Upon Tyne University, UK, in 2006. After graduation, he honed his skills under the mentorship of an experienced oral surgeon in the UK before moving to Australia to combine dentistry with his love of travel.
Sam’s career has taken him to Mackay, Darwin, and Hobart, where he gained extensive experience in oral surgery, implant dentistry, and cosmetic dentistry. He has trained with renowned clinicians in Brisbane , Canada and Italy expanding his expertise in advanced dental procedures and techniques.
A premier provider of All-on-4 Plus®, Sam offers this innovative treatment to replace missing teeth with implants in just 1–2 days. He is also a proud member of the Australian Society of Implant Dentistry and the International Team for Implantology (ITI) study club.
In July 2015, Sam and his wife, Dr Gemma Hamilton, took over Hinterland Dental. Sam’s clinical interests include All-on-4 Plus®, implant dentistry, oral surgery, wisdom tooth removal, and providing treatment under sedation or general anaesthetic. He also enjoys cosmetic dentistry, helping patients achieve smiles they can be truly proud of.
Outside the clinic, Sam and Gemma have two young sons, Jock and Mac, and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Dusty. Sam is a keen soccer player and enjoys mountain biking, golf, and stand-up paddleboarding. His greatest sporting passion is skiing, which he pursues at least once a year.
